Let’s say you dig Casting Crowns. Ever wonder if there are other artists out there that have a similar kind of sound?
Or what if you could find another artist that carried the same type of emotion as Jennifer Knapp or the same kind of songwriting as Boochie Shepherd?
Enter Pandora. Click the link below to check it out, or keep reading for more info.
It’s an amazing site I stumbled across that serves as a personal DJ, recommending and PLAYING music for you based on your preferences. It is built from an idea called the Music Genome Project, which seeks to identify all the different characteristics about songs that make us either love them or hate them.
For instance, I told the music player that I enjoy Bebo Norman. It then played me some songs by Benny Mao, Genius Morning, John Gregory, and Josh Ritter. I had never heard of any of these artists; but I loved them all. And here’s the beautiful part. It’s free. No strings attached. Nothing. Just free, amazing music from outstanding artists that you haven’t heard of.
So, let’s sum up this Pandora thing:
1. It’s Free.
2. It’s a great way to find new music.
3. It’s Hip.
What’s not to love?

Here’s the first song I’d add to my playlist if I were a DJ:
Reminds me of this song:
You’ve Got 2 Be Bad 2 Get 2 Heaven
Dr BLT featuring Not Beyounce
